Life is so short...
...and unpredictable. On Thursday night my friend Keri died. She was cooking dinner and literally fell over dead from a massive brain aneurysm. She left behind two daughters, eight and five years old. So hug your kids, don't yell at your husband for leaving his socks in the middle of the floor and call that friend you have been meaning to have dinner with. Do it. Do it now. And appreciate every moment you have with those you love.

Grocery Store
Today after running in the pouring rain with Carli for Race for the Arts, Pearl and I went to the grocery store. An Asian woman stopped us and asked if Pearl was from China. I told her she was from Vietnam. The woman was from Vietnam also. We chatted for a little bit and then the woman said "I want to thank you on behalf of my country and people that you have adopted one of our own." It brought tears to my eyes. It is amazing how thankful the Vietnamese people are and how they are consistent about expressing it.
By the way, Carli only wanted to run two laps for Race for the Arts but I am proud to say we ran 15!!!!
