He is quickly decomposing!  It is hairy and GROSS!

Halloween Spirit

We are in the Halloween spirit.  We decorated the house and Carli made a Halloween greeting.  Both girls have their costumes ready and try them on, almost nightly!

Pumpkin Patch

Today after Carli's soccer game, we decided to go to the pumpkin patch.  We headed to Sauvie Island, which is a quick 15 minute drive from Portland.  It was hot....90 degrees in October!  It was crowded...clearly others thought of this past time, too.  But, it was fun.  We took the tractor ride out to the pumpkin fields and we each carefully selected our pumpkins.  For a whopping $8.00 we got four beautiful pumpkins.  We then got the girls a caramel apple and listed to the honky-tonk band.  Finally we roamed the corn maze.  It was a gorgeous afternoon and we certainly found our Halloween spirit!

Pearl's First Day of Preschool

Yesterday was Pearl's first day of preschool.  She has been excited for weeks...counting down the days with anyone that will listen to her!  Everything went great and when I picked her up the teacher said she was a delight and very smart.  Pearl told me, "I love it." 

Funny Tomato

The garden has been productive this year.  Last year not one tomato grew, but this year we have tons.  I think the tomatoes are having too much fun in the garden because they are growing with faces or noses (depending on what you see) now...

Final Moscow Pictures

Eric was on a picture frenzy with the latest batch he sent me.  I have no idea what these pictures are but they are pretty beautiful and not the dour, grey "Communist" setting that I picture in my mind.
