Spring Break 2012

The girls (mostly Carli) have been begging to go to Disneyland and so we decided, to give in to their demands. We left midweek because tickets were cheaper and we hoped that Disney would be less crowded. Disney appears to be crowded no matter when you go, so you just have to deal with the long lines and bumping into people. We arrived at 9:30 a.m. since our hotel had a super easy shuttle that took us to and from the park as many times as we wanted throughout the day for $20. We hit all the major rides and definitely listened to advice about the Fast Pass and Parent Switch tickets. We really liked Buzz Lightyear, Space Mountain and Splash Mountain. We roamed the park back and forth doing a kiddie ride for Pearl and then an older ride for Carli. It worked out pretty well.

We went back to the hotel at 6 p.m. and had dinner and then Eric and Carli went back to the park at 8 p.m. for round two! They watched the fireworks, rode the Jungle Cruise and waited 45 minutes for the Indiana Jones ride, which ended up being their favorite ride of the entire day. They came back at midnight (yes, midnight) fully exhausted and satisfied.

I was really impressed with the grounds at Disneyland...green, lush, flowers everywhere and very clean. Eric met a family that had been at the park for SIX days and although it was fun, Eric and I decided one day was plenty.
