Piano

Carli has been asking for a piano ever since our neighbor began to casually teach her some songs. Carli picks up the songs quickly and will play wherever she sees a piano. Well, as I was looking into rentals, our neighbors decided to move and buy a new piano and decided to give Carli their old one! Apparently it is from the 1920's and is an old church piano. It was delivered last Thursday and Carli has been on cloud nine ever since its arrival. I have found a piano teacher and we begin lessons this Friday.

1st day of second grade

Carli started second grade today. She was very excited. She likes her teacher and her best friend is in her class. Pearl fit right in, too.

Weekend in Seattle

We spent the weekend with our friends Gary and Michelle in Seattle. I made the pilgrimage to New York Cupcakes and saw the movie "Julie and Julia". I loved the movie...it was interesting and inspiring especially for someone that loves to cook and eat like me!
Also on task is bowling, swimming and tennis. It's all good!

Sunriver 2009

We have spent the last week in Sunriver with friends. We have done lots of bike riding, pool time, pony riding, eating, relaxing and just hanging out. We also went to Paulina Lake and Paulina Falls in the Newberry Caldera area. We also saw a large Obsidian Flow area. On Tuesday we went to Tumalo Falls. It was been a great week for family and friend time.
