Pearl's three year check up

We went to the doctor today and I kept my fingers crossed the entire time that Pearl has gained enough weight and height. She ended up weighing 26 1/2 pounds and is 34 inches tall ( 2 ft., 10 inches). So for weight she has moved to the 10th percentile and for height she is still in the third percentile. At her two year check up she was in the third percentile for both height and weight.

Overall, the doctor is very pleased with her development and has finally acknowledged that she is genetically small. Hallelujah, because I did not want another "failure to thrive" on my back.

Pearl is a happy, healthy, smart child. She loves books, her Barbies and eating. Clearly she is well-rounded!

Pearl's birthday celebration

Although Pearl turns three next Thursday, we decided to celebrate this weekend with Eric's family. Pearl was very excited to eat cake, open her presents and get love from her grandparents and aunts. Of course, Carli coached her through the process!

Kitchen pictures

We are 90% done with the kitchen. The back splash needs to be grouted and sealed on Monday but otherwise it is complete. I LOVE the new counter top and appliances. Also, the new, smaller under mount sink is such an improvement from the cast iron humongous beast that was there.
